The Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation (the "Foundation") provides www.tremainecollection.org (the “Website”) in support of the Foundation's mission to advance research, scholarship, and education. You (the “User”) accept the following terms of use by accessing the Website. The Foundation reserves the right to modify these terms of use, without notice to User.
1. Copyright. The Foundation retains all rights in biographical data, copyright data, metadata, collection data, images, software, documentation, text, and other information contained in the Website (the “Content”), subject to the limitation that copyright and other proprietary rights may be held by individuals or entities other than, or in addition to, the Foundation.
2. Trademarks. Many of the trademarks, service marks, and logos displayed on the Website (the “Trademarks”) are registered and unregistered marks of the Foundation. Unauthorized use of the Trademarks is prohibited.
3. Authorized Uses. The Foundation hosts low-resolution images of the works of art locally on the Website only as necessary to ensure the Website’s functionality. The User may read about the history of Emily Hall Tremaine’s collecting and navigate to individual entries for the pieces in the collection. The Content is made available for viewing only. Any copying, downloading, or printing of the Content is prohibited.
4. Links to Other Websites. The Website may contain links to websites operated by parties other than the Foundation. The Foundation does not control the linked websites, and the Foundation is not responsible for the contents of any linked websites.
5. Disclaimer. The Website documents the former collection of the Foundation's namesake, Emily Hall Tremaine, and her husband, Burton Tremaine, Sr. The Content on the Website is provided “as is” without a warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular use, and/or non-infringement. The Foundation may update, change, or delete the Content at any time, without notice to the User. With an overall emphasis on education, principally in the United States, it contributes in three major areas: the Arts, Environment, and Learning Differences.
